Description
Cliff relishes his latest find, a signed first edition of a travelogue by acclaimed 19th-century explorer Richard Burton. Out of nowhere, he receives a call from a 90-year-old woman claiming that she is the rightful owner of the book. The woman is convinced that crooked book dealers swindled her family out of a large library of works written by the famous adventurer. After her sudden death, Cliff vows to restore the collection. His quest will take him from Colorado, to Baltimore, to Charleston and pit him against murderous underworld thugs, desperate authors and unscrupulous businessmen.
